Mediterranean Diet: our bread
Posted: Tue Sep 16, 2014 10:08 am
Here you have my recipe for making bread at home.
It is delicious and much much better than what you buy in the supermarket.
ingredients:
500g flour
290g warm water (40 °)
10g sugar
10g salt
30g extra virgin olive oil
25g fresh yeast beer
Note that the weight of water varies slightly depending on the quality of wheat flour.
Put all ingredients in electric mixer baking, mix by hand or on the table.
Put the dough in a plastic bucket covered in a warm area of your house .... but NOT on top of the heating!
Let stand one hour in summer and two hours in winter.
Prepare the dough into 16 pieces and asle a knot, as seen in the photos.
Put a sheet of baking paper on the plate, and the 16 "knots" and rest for an hours.
Then turn on the propane furnace at maximum power.
Bake it for 30-40 minutes until the bread is lightly browned.
The time also varies depending on the power of the oven.
You will have to experiment a few times to get a perfect Mediterranean bread!
After 1 hour
after baking for 35mins
hoping you like it,
regards
