Up In Flames

Post by Solar98632 » Wed Apr 05, 2017 7:41 pm

A fellow you uber just had his Midnight create a fire danger.
Please remember to engage the Arc Safety Feature in your midnight classic.
Chris was fortunate that all he lost was a few breaker boxes and a charge controller.

I am now highly fearful of getting an mppt.

That is odd. And scary. My Morningstar Tristar has seen multiple lightning strikes, over voltage and over wattage conditions and is still going strong.

It was chrisdiy. On YouTube.
His midnight controller didn't have the protection turned of for over arcing.
The arc had crossed over the breaker and by passed the safety feature of the breaker.
I never heard of it my self until I seen his channel.
