Boostcaps Running The Inverter

Post by techman1219 » Mon Jul 07, 2014 2:09 pm

This is a video of someone trying what I have thought about. The concept is to place a bank of supercaps between the batteries and the power inverter. In his test it ran for a good about of time on a low draw. Its something to think about if you have a solar installation already in place. This could easy the stress on the battery banks during surge loads. When the stress eases then it will restore the caps back to full power.

That is a cool idea. Caps are becoming very popular in many areas these days. Still a bit pricey for my liking though.
