How to make a heat Sink for Blocking Diode

Post by SolarFreak » Thu Feb 26, 2015 11:18 am

You MUST PUT that Blocking diode piece of aluminum angle so it is finned. so it can cool. It will get really hot. I have seen two aluminum angles facing away from each other with a hole drilled in them while laying on top one another and you nut them together so they can dissipate heat. This is a must and dont cover it will black tape it melt and get all gooey and it needs air.
Google on youtube how to make a heat sink for a blocking diode.
