HID Xenon output a sagging amounts of heat output 1500 degrees F that if done correctly can make cup amounts of hot water in a minute or two

Solving a few issues
HID Xenon operate on a High Voltage power supply 12V DC 10A > ballast > 23,000V AC at 600Hz
This would make them a electrical hazard if you dipped the bulb directly in to water

Plus also the bulb operating temp will just shatter if it came into contact with cold water

So to solve this to isolate the bulb from water
This kills 3 birds with 1 stone

ACE lab glassware double jacketed flask ML Beaker

These double jacketed flask ML Beaker makes a for good electorally isolated water boiler

So how does this work
the glass allows Infrared to pass from the safely air gap isolated bulb and pass into the water jacket and warming it up the longer the waters in there the hotter it gets

double jacketed flask ML Beaker if you cover the only outer outside with liquid tin and liquid silver and liquid copper and a few layers of paint to can keep the infrared heat bouncing around the water (just dont cover the Water in / out connectors or the inner flask)

with a hole saw drill you can make a disk to fit the bulb and hold it centre and sits on the flask lip

Have you tried this yourself? It sounds interesting and possibly low enough power consumption. But I wonder if it can really work?
