Sealing windows in RV for the winter

Post by stampedelady » Fri Mar 27, 2015 1:26 am

I live full time in my motorhome. I don't use propane for anything but heating water because it causes so much moisture in the air I get too much condensation issues with mould.. I still get condensation but not as much.. The problem is that the cold temps outside and the warmth inside make the windows all wet . Is it possible to cover the windows from the outside? I tried the inside and that didn't work.. because of the kind of curtains in the motorhome the plastic for the windows only seals three sides, you can't seal the top. I am desparate for something I can put outside the windows that isn't too expensive but can be taken down in the spring.. The windows are only single pane of course.. so they let in the cold and wind which in turn makes it cold inside.. Can anyone help ?

On my old camper I taped plastic window seals onto the outside of my windows for the same reason.

I used duct tape because I did not care about appearance at that time.

I have seen outdoor window sealer kits at Walmart before.
