Thanks for the info techman i have not wound coils before !! But i have now found an old microwave in my loft so will try & use the coils like you said :) I now have all my other parts ready for the build :)

Using a hose pipe inside a compost heat works very well. You need quite a bit of compost to make a good sized deep pile. But even in winter when it's below freezing you can obtain warm water from this system. Your best having two piles & hoses so when one is being used. You can start a new pile for ...

In the UK they do a 12v immersion solar/wind immersion heater element. Which can be used to heat water in a standard water tank after your solar panels have finished topping off your batteries they can then be used for hot water. Bio Gas - Free Gas Fuel

Hi Everyone

Has anyone ever thought of using composting toilet waste to make "Bio Gas" I have seen that if you ferment human or animal waste you can produce you own free "Bio Gas" Which can then be used as a fuel for cooking, Heating or to make electricity :)

Ok i have managed to ordered most of the parts i cannot find any old solenoid coils from a laser printer so i will see if i can perhaps wind 3 coils myself. Do you think that will work techman ? How many winds should i do for each coil ? Thanks for your help.
